Bring Down the Sky: Pinnacle Station: Permissions and credits. Mass Effect Ini Modder is a tool I made to make it easy to change and apply settings to ME1's ini files. This allows things like changing what character you play as, changing the conditions that are used to determine game over, easily enabling in-game console, setting config.

Description Edit

Mass Effect 1 Bring Down The Sky

A batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only you, and the hand-picked crew of the Normandy, can save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid completes its deadly descent.

This first downloadable content pack further expands the Mass Effect universe and continues the adventures of Commander Shepard and the Normandy crew.

Content Edit

The pack includes a new system, three assignments, and about 90 minutes of gameplay. The pack also introduces the batarians.

  • Assignments
  • New System
    • Asgard System, Exodus Cluster
  • New Achievement
    • Colonial Savior achievement for 50 gamerscore.

PC Pack Code Issues Edit

Originally on the PC version of Mass Effect, a code was provided for the purchaser to obtain a copy of Bring Down the Sky for free.

For players who now wish to obtain this DLC, go to EA's help page to download the DLC installer. A code is no longer required to authorize the installer. Those who receive a 'You have reached the activation limit.' message will need to use the Contact Us feature on the EA site to unlock it.

Pricing Edit

Bring Down the Sky was originally released for 400 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 and 400 BioWare Points on PC. The Xbox 360 price was eventually reduced to US$1 (80 Microsoft Points before Microsoft switched to Local Currency), and the pack is also included for free with the Platinum Hits Edition of Mass Effect for Xbox 360. In addition, the pack is currently available for free on the PC version, and it is included in the PC and PlayStation 3 editions of Mass Effect Trilogy.

Finally installed ME1 on my XBox One a few weeks back and started a new playthrough after installing the game and the Pinnacle Station DLC. I played over 13 hours, then when trying to load my game the other day I get the error message below:

Selected Save Game could not be loaded. Downloadable Content missing from XBox. Module(s) in question: Bring Down the Sky (ENPLES)

I own the Platinum Hits 360 version which came with all of the DLC (PS and BDTS) so you would think this would all transfer over/install at the same time. For some reason Pinnacle Station is it's own thing in the XBox store (which is fine, installed fine when I found it), but BDTS is tied to the actual game as a 'Bundle Only'. Since I could not uninstall the BDTS DLC on its own I uninstalled the whole game (ME/BDTS bundle and PS), and then re-installed everything. Still getting the same error that I am missing the BDTS DLC.

Am I crazy in thinking that since BDTS is bundled with ME in the XBox store that if I install ME that there should be no way I am missing BDTS? Has anyone else had this problem and if so have you been able to fix it?

Steam Mass Effect Bring Down The Sky

(This is the first backward compatible game I have installed from a disc, but it already seems to me that Microsoft has some glaring issues with this service still. I believe that if you have DLC on your 360 you should be able to save it to the cloud to avoid problems like this, but I am only able to save this DLC to my 360 hard drive. It would also make sense for the XBox One to be able to read and install DLC bonus discs like the one that came with the ME Platinum Hits, as that also seems like an easier way to prevent DLC issues.)
