Requirements:
- The update process is compatible with Xiaomi Redmi 2, Redmi 2A and Redmi 2 Prime.
- As this is not official MIUI ROM, the Updater app will not work. You need to download and install TWRP Recovery on your device.
- Make sure you have successful backup of all your important data present on your device. If not, check here to perform.

1: Download Lollipop 5.1 ROM from here and transfer it to the root folder of your SD card. Root folder indicates that the file should by copied openly not in any folder.
2: Now disconnect the device from PC and turn it off by long pressing the power button.
3: Boot your device into TWRP recovery mode (press and hold Volume down + Power button)
